Together for Sustainable Packaging is a multi-sector alliance of companies and associations working for a truly sustainable approach to the EU’s Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR). 

 

We believe that the European Commission’s proposed PPWR introduces bans and reduction targets that are likely to be counter-productive to the EU Green Deal objectives and will be damaging for the economy, environment, food safety and consumers.

 

Europe needs sustainable solutions, not simple solutions. That’s why Together for Sustainable Packaging calls on decision makers at EU level to pause, assess the increasingly significant data, and reflect upon the best way forward, as well as for national governments not to proceed with their own legislation.

By taking this approach, we can achieve the goals of the Green Deal and the best outcomes for the environment, business and consumers.
